Crysis Remastered Launches September 18th!


Crytek announced today the new release date for Crysis Remastered. The game, originally set to release on July 23, will now release on September 18th on Xbox One, PS4, and PC via the Epic Games Store. Crysis Remastered has already launched on Nintendo Switch Platforms.


The announcement came in the form of a new trailer, which also showcased the graphical comparison between the new version of the game and the original 2007 version of the game. This trailer can be seen below.

According to the Press Release, Crysis Remaster will feature a load of new improvements, including

  • High-Quality Textures up to 8K

  • HDR Support

  • Temporal Anti-Aliasing

  • Screen Space Directional Occlusion (SSDO)

  • Global Illumination (SVOGI)

  • State-of-the-Art depth fields

  • New Light Settings

  • Motion Blur

  • Parallax Occlusion Mapping

  • Screen Space Reflections (SSR)

  • Screen Space Shadows (SSS)

  • New & Updated Particle Effects

Not only are these improvements implemented into the new remaster, players who choose to play the game on the Xbox One X will also receive Ray Tracing support, giving even more dynamic lighting, shading, and rendering options. This is also showcased in the trailer above.

Crysis Remaster will launch at a $29.99 price point on September 18th. Expect a full in-depth review here on My Xbox And Me of the game either at or close to launch to see how it compares to the original.
