New Call of Duty gets Official Title Reveal!


We finally got the reveal for the title of the next Call of Duty game, titled "Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. Activision typically reveals their yearly installment in the franchise near the beginning of the year, but due to the global pandemic and release of Call of Duty Warzone, plans have shifted. This has been the longest wait into the year players have had before any news of the new Call of Duty game.

A short teaser trailer went live confirming the game is real and the title is Black Ops: Cold War. This installment of Call of Duty is being developed by Treyarch with support from Raven studios. Originally this year's Call of Duty installment was meant to be developed by Sledgehammer, but conflicts of development prior has shifted plans, projects, and teams. The teaser trailer above shows real life clips from the era within the Cold War along with voice over hinting to the game's overall plot.


Activision President, Rob Kostich, has confirmed that Call of Duty Warzone will be featured in the release of Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. Although the teaser trailer does not show gameplay, or reveal any real information on the game, the trailer ends with an August 26th date for the global reveal of the game. Ideally we'll get the first glimpse of gameplay, release date, campaign, and multiplayer aspects of the game.
