New Games Announced for Game Pass


Xbox just announced new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass coming to console, with a select few also coming to PC.


A Plague Tale: Innocence - Coming January 23rd to both console and PC, A Plague Tale: Innocence is an action platformer with stealth elements centered around two siblings as they embark on a quest to escape inquisition soldiers and plague bearing rats. This game is critically acclaimed for it‘s use of game design and storytelling elements, even being considered GOTY contenders for various outlets. Developed by Asobo Studio, this game is not to be skipped.


Indivisible - Coming January 23rd, Indivisible is a precise action platformer with huge puzzle and combat elements backed in. The Game starts around player character Anja, who goes on a quest to discover the truth about a mysterious power she recently awakened from within herself. Along her quest she encounters other characters that players can also play as, giving the game multiple ways to play. The story telling in the game is critically acclaimed, and the gameplay is designed to be easy to learn but hard to master, giving players who take the time to really explore the depths of the controls a sense of reward. Developed by Lab Zero, this game is a welcomed inclusion to Game Pass and should not be skipped.


Fishing Sim World Pro Tour - Coming January 30th, Fishing Sim World Pro Tour is exactly what you expect the game to be, a really in depth fishing simulator. Players compete against 100 Pro Anglers as they compete to become the pro fisherman. With a wide of array of baits, rods, and gear, players are task with trying to reel in over 25 different kinds of fish, ranging from the most basic of carp to predatory fish. The game also allows for online multiplayer, where players can set up tournaments and compete against one another to see whom among them is the best fisherman. Developed by Dovetail Games, Fishing Sim World Pro Tour is a fishing sim for those who enjoy fishing in video games.


Sea Salt - Coming January 30th to both console and PC, Sea Salt is an ID@Xbox title developed by YCJY Games that’s classified as a “reverse horror” action strategy title. Players actually play the role of an evil sea god named Dagon, who demands sacrifices from a nearby village. You as the player can grow an army of minions and must go on killing sprees. The game seems to take heavy inspiration from similar titles like Hotline Miami, with it’s top down pixel art kill everything on screen gameplay. The game does take a much darker tone with it’s storytelling, and does not have as bright of a color sceme as hotlime miami, but nevertheless is a interesting game coming to gamepass later this month.


Lots of great looking games coming to gamepass in the last week and a half of the month, but let’s not overlook the games that came to Game Pass previous in the month. These games include Children of Morta (Console and PC), Frostpunk: (Console and PC), Grand Theft Auto: V (Console only), Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet (Console only), and Tekken 7 (Console only). Xbox Game Pass is the best deal in gaming, and only continues to get better as new games get added seemingly weekly.
